It's Raining, It's pouring!
If two words were used to describe the third race of the Paddy Pallin Adventure Race Series they wouldn’t be dry and hot. The heavens opened up as Canberra experienced it’s wettest weekend in almost a decade. A slight course change to avoid flash flooding resulted in the absence of water activities but the competitors definitely weren’t dry, they were swimming all race! Just like a pack of kids, once wet teams were splashing in puddles and mud and loving it.
The Stingers stung coming in 15 minutes ahead of their rivals SlackRRRs with another 15 minutes to third place getters Out of Range. Then the teams came flooding in just like the water rising at Tuggeranong Town Park. Delirium took out the Corporate Category for the second time and Just Peachy led the all female teams.
MADgics won the Novice Course and the family category. This is their second win - if they win again at Nelson Bay it will be time for them to take on the Classic course. Dong, Dick and Mick won the Male category and The Cycle Ed Chicks were first in the Female category. Little Liala Bradshaw from the Tweehards was the youngest competitor at 9 years.
