What Is It?
Capital Punishment is the mountain bike enduro that takes in Canberra's best single track. It includes a 50km and 100km options. This is the only time you can link it all together - Kowen Forest, Majura Pines, Black Mountain and Mt Stromlo.
It is not too hilly and if it is dry it is fast and fun! There is the festival at the finish which is 2012 will include jumping castles and a kids race. And to top it all off there is the After Party and Presentations at the Crowne Plaza.

Kids Mountain Bike Event - at Stromlo
We are introducing something new and fun for the kids. Cycle Education's Kids Event will keep them entertained while the BIG kids are riding the main event. To enter your child go to Capital Punishment Kids Event on the Cycle Education website. Cost is $10 per child, showbags for all pre-entries.
Registration will open 12:15pm and it is anticipated that the categories will be run at the following times pending the number of children entered.
A. Children - 11, 12, 13yrs ride approx 4 - 5 km, start time 1:00
B. Children - 8, 9, 10 yrs ride approx 3 - 4km, start time 1:15
C. Children - 5, 6, 7 yrs ride approx 2km, start time 1:30
D. Children - under 5yrs ride approx 1km, start time 1:45
Start times and length (both are approximate) for all categories. Course will be marked and open by 12:00pm on the day.
The kids race takes place at the finish area at Stromlo Forest Park.

For 2012 we are offering a limited edition wind vest as well as the jersey and cycling shorts. These wind vests are a summer vest and are the real bomb.
You can purchase your jersey / cycling shorts / vest when you enter online. You can also log back in to your entry and purchase items later. All orders will need to be made by 10 January 2012. Items purchased online will be available for collection at event registration. Note that only a very limited number of jerseys will be available for purchase at the event.
